Wonderful food, quick service and a great porch to enjoy lunch on. The sandwiches are always fresh and are big enough that I have half left for dinner! I go here every chance I get!

If you're ever craving an amazing sandwich or salad, THIS IS THE PLACE! Fresh ingredients , and plenty of them. I'd pick a fave but I can't as it's just all so yummy! Staff are friendly. Service is quick. When not too hot, sitting in the porch watching the world go by with a cold beer, (yes they have beer too!!) is an enjoyable lunchtime spot.

We stopped for lunch in this little town and saw the quaint porch and cute name. We had the beef and blue cheese sandwich and the turkey basil and both were fantastic. They have a lot of unique sodas in bottles and it was fun trying a couple. The ginger root beer really just tasted like root beer. I had the pomegranate soda and it was refreshing. Salad came with the sandwich and it was generous. They charged an extra dollar for the Caesar, and she didn't tell us that. I didn't mind, but it would have been great to be told it was extra. The girl just said to pick our side from the top shelf in the cooler. It was hot out, and there are only 2 small tables inside. Thankfully we got one, but for bigger parties it would be hot on the patio. They need to get misters. Not sure if we will come back as there are other places to try close by.

Excellent! The ingredients are fresh and the turkey is absolutely delicious. Customer service is on point and the cafe is clean and decorated so cute. My husband and I can't stop talking about our sandwiches. We will stop again while traveling through this adorable town.

These reviews are hilarious. "I gave 4 stars because it was a hot day" What?? I didn't know the Pickled Porch controlled the Sun. Another reason to visit!! Great experience all around. The place looked and felt like a local sandwich shop should! Relax and enjoy the perfectly crafted sandwiches and sides. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. The service was also great (which is hard to do with the hiring market in CA now). I would love to see this sandwich shop in Sacramento!!

Food was delicious and a generous portion for the price! We all had leftovers to take home. Wait is always quick despite being packed and I never have to wait more than 10 minutes to order and receive my order. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby!

Tucked away in the sweet town of Angels Camp, lives a must-try sandwich joint. This place is home of the best sandwich I have ever had. Visiting my parents up in Valley Springs, they were raving about this place and really wanted to take me; I can't turn down a sandwich. I didn't expect much since the food in Valley Springs area wasn't much to write home about. But over in Angels Camp... the Pickled Porch impressed me! When we got there, the owner was tidying up the landscaping which was already quite well manicured. The establishment itself is just darling. Clean, organized, and functional. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu! There was so many amazing options but I went with the Tommy Bomber with fruit, mom went with the Turkey Cranberry with the Pesto Mac, and my stepdad went with the Clam Chowder which he claims to be the best he's ever had. Our food came out quickly and beautifully! And WOW!!! The sandwich exceeded my expectations. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor. This sandwich was a labor of love, I just know it. When I say I was talking about this sandwich for the entire drive home... I mean it! My stepdad says "I remember talking about my first Pickled Porch sandwich too". Seriously. I mean, look at the picture! If a sandwich was a dream. How often can you say in the post-covid days that a restaurant is clean, staff is helpful and friendly, service was quick, and the food is not only fresh but flavorful and delicious?! This is one of the places that hit every mark for me and I'm so bummed that I live 4.5 hours away!! It seems I'm going to be visiting my parents more often in the next few months;)

I live about 2 hours away but go to Bear Valley a few times a year. Every trip, I make sure to stop at the Pickled Porch. I am obsessed with the Cranberry Turkey sandwich and would probably make that drive just for a little lunch trip. My boyfriend is picky about sandwiches and he said it's the best he's ever had (he gets the Tommy Bomber). I recently tried the clam chowder and I was thoroughly impressed. It is thick and full of veggies and clams (even took a large container to go to have later that night). Also, the desserts are phenomenal, so make sure you save room. Portion sizes are huge, the service is great and staff are so friendly and quick. Plenty of outdoor seating. Even in the cold it's covered with heaters.
